A Kenyan Foundation · Community, Climate & Opportunity
Building Resilient Communities for a Sustainable Future
We empower women, girls and young people while advancing climate action, sustainable agriculture, green energy, environmental conservation and inclusive community development.
Who We Are
Creating Opportunity. Protecting People. Restoring Our Planet.
The Waithira Muithirania Foundation is a Kenyan non-governmental organization committed to promoting and protecting human rights, with particular emphasis on women and children.
We work to create informed, empowered and resilient communities through education, advocacy, mentorship, skills development, economic empowerment, environmental action and community initiatives — with sustainable agriculture, agribusiness, green energy and water resilience at the centre of our forward agenda.
Our approach is integrated because the challenges communities face are connected. A girl who stays in school, a woman who grows a farm enterprise, a young person trained in solar installation and a household that harvests its own rainwater are all part of the same resilience story.
